सरकार को पीएम-किसान योजना की राशि भी बढ़ानी चाहिए : ICFA चेयरमैन

Intro:As soon as the Modi government took charge of its second consecutive term, two big decisions were rolled out in the very first cabinet meeting for farmers. PM Kisan scheme is now open for all farmers and the pension scheme was also announced after the cabinet meeting on Friday.
PM Kisan scheme will now cost ₹ 87000 crore to the government exchequer and 14.5 crore farmers will be benefitted from the scheme.
Pradhanmantri Kisan Pension Yojna approved by the cabinet aims to benefit small and marginal farmers. Through this voluntary pension scheme farmers between the age 18-40 years can opt for the scheme and they will get a pension of ₹8000 after attaining 60 years of age.


Body:Apart from the two big approvals, the government also approved a budget of ₹ 13343 crore for a vaccination program to prevent livestock from foot and mouth diseases.
Experts have welcomed the move but also suggested that the amount of PM Kisan should also have been increased to atleast ₹ 12000 per year.



Conclusion:These quick decisions by the government is being seen as an important step to reach out to farmers and thus an attempt to show that the farmers will be on the top in the priority list of Modi 2.0.
